Our family business is called L.A.M in honor of our abuelito Luis Albis Martinez (LAM) and it began in 1985 when the Albis family started exporting alpaca sweaters to Mexico City, Mexico.
In 1990, we opened the first L.A.M. store in La Paz, Bolivia, offering the best 100% alpaca merchandise with its unique designs and styles. For more than 25 years, L.A.M. has been developing, creating, and exporting Bolivia through handicrafts to the whole world.
L.A.M Bolivia is proud to be a part of a growing global movement that believes in fair trade, and we are honored to share our products and mission with you. Join us on our journey to create a fairer and more sustainable world for all.
Experience of several generations
Our family business has been built on the principles of fairness, equality, and sustainability. Over the years, our business has grown and evolved, but our commitment to fair trade has remained the same.
Today, we work with artisan communities across Bolivia, supporting their traditional techniques and preserving their cultural heritage, while ensuring that they are paid a fair wage for their work.
L.A.M has now the experience of several generations in the production and exportation of alpaca clothing. We follow strict quality standards and are passionate about creating traditional Bolivian knitwear.
